Not as bad as EVERYONE says!!! | | Tyler Peterson from Paola, Kansas, United States says (23/Jul/2004): | Since I first heard about the catwoman game/movie I was excited. But, then I start hearing how bad everyone says this game is, but that barely made me think differently. When I heard the game was finally released I rushed over to my local EB Games store and picked it up. I barely could pull myself away from the game once I got home.
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics in "catwoman" are really good. Especially Halle's form and the way she moves, even just the way she looks. The backgrounds look alright, not the best. And the enemies seem to almost be the same ones...over...and...over...and...over!
Sound: 7/10
The only thing that brought the sound score down was Halle. It almost seemed as if she didnt CARE!!! Plus she didnt have the most stylish phrases...like, "Are you working the night shift? So am I." See its those little things that can really bring it down.
Gameplay: 8/10
The combat is fun, yet very simplistic. In other words, the fighting is NOT that difficult. The swinging from pole to pole and jumping from chain fence to chain fence gets VERY old after a while.
Originality: 6/10
This game is basically a copy-off from "PRINCE OF PERSIA." The only problem is, it worked for PRINCE OF PERSIA, but not all that much for CATWOMAN.
Controls: 6.5/10
The controls/camera is what really makes this game worse. The controls are very difficult to learn, such as, swinging from a pole, jumping off and whippnig another pole fifteen feet in front of Catwoman. I guess EA tried to make the camera angles like a movies. When you have to jump from pole to pole the camera may be in front of Catwoman, making it nearly impossible to reach the next pole.
Fun Factor: 8/10
CATWOMAN is a FUN game, dont get me wrong, everygame has flaws. But there arent really enough to make this game bad like everyone says!!!
