In my opion splinter cell is thebest steath game on the market today. It would not suprise me if this ubisoft continues to make more sequals and improving the game. i agree with others that more ammo should be provided at each level but then again that is what makes the game so hard to complete. If they supplied more ammo everyone would run through the game shooting, and that would make it a "first person shooter" and not a "stealth" game. and there are plenty of "shooter" out there and there all the same. This game reqires your brain and not the brain of your foes all over the floor. I do think that there should be more mission then ten. And for those who have completed the game know that there are not 4 extra "gut wrenching" steath missions at the end of the game. And for those who have not those mission are in the nuclar plant. Its a slae pitch from the makers. I've heard many people compare this game to MGS (metal gear solid) but in my opion this is a much more well-drawn out game. for anybody who is knew to this game this is a game that u connot complete in 2 hours. if you can u are a god. and its one of those games u just cant set down.

i got this game almost a year ago and it rocks. every thing about is cool. best stealth game since metal gear, and amazing graphics!
the only flaws are the guards are sometimes a bit blind. in mean would you think it was werid if you saw a pair of green lights floating in the dark?
the grapics are so amazing and sharp. the first time i played i thought wicked. it was a hard game at first and you soon discover you should avoid gunfights and work on sleath. another flaw is hardly any guns. you only get a pistol and a rifle. need of guns! i was at it for at least 4 months before i fanally finished. the ending is ace. sound is just as cool as grapics and every single sound is included.
foes aint dumb either and will investiage or pull an alarm if they think something is up. more than 8 times i walked around the door and heard a pair of officers having a chat. foes are all unique, from cops, to chinese guards, the cia, russians and spiceal forces commandos.
this game is really great!!!
buy now. you won't regret it.

This game rocks. Its really hard but it becomes easy after awhile. it tales a while and thats wut is cool. No 1 wants a game they can beat in 1 day. That takes the fun out of everything and a waste of moolah. A lot of ppl might think i dont know squat cuz im a girl and ppl think that girls dont play video games BUT... i know this game and u should defenently buy it. Or u SUCK monkeys butt!!! You get training so u can get tha hang of it before u do tha missions. I would of had troblue with tha missions but the training helps s lot. And if u still need help u can go to www.slpintercell.com. The game is very very sneaky and u need to stay quiet. If not u get shot and die. OH MY GOODNESS!!! I died sooooo many times even though i am 10% through it. But u learn from your mistakes and the game gets better. This game rocks my socks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You stay hooked 4 hours cuz its like there r locks on ur eyes 2 the tv.
Buy this game or once again u suck monkeys butt!

Splinter Cell is very much a stealth game and has some high points. Such as the graphics and dynamic lighting are excellent and it easy to see the developers spent a lot of time in the graphics. Also Sam's different abilities and gear he is given. Also I like the logical thinking you need to use in Splinter Cell in order to beat some missions.
However there are some flaws in this game which can lead to very frustrating situations.
1. Trial & Error - This is the ONLY way I’ve been able to beat a mission. You have repeat certain things over and over until you get them just right before you’re able to get to your next checkpoint. This can be extremely annoying with some level designs. The oil rig is the most apparent in this case. Sam is supposed to follow a technician but not make it apparent that you are there. The only way to follow him is to go across these webbed steel beams when a more logical way would have been to simply climb over the railing on the side.
2. The Cut Scenes - The problem with the cut scenes is they usually serve little purpose, simply pointing out the obvious sometimes. With the trial and error aspect of the game it can become extremely annoying when you are unable to skip the cut-scene.
3. Inconsistent Stealth Meter - Another thing I’ve noticed is that visually I could not see a thing, but on my ’stealth meter’ it shows that I am in the brightest light possible. This simply can not be. The opposite is also true--for example in the Embassy Level if you stand under a street lamp which illuminates the ground the stealth meter will be down to black. It is easy to see that the stealth meter is not very consistent to the lightning.
4. Confusing Level Design - In nearly every mission I have found myself in some way completely stuck. Unable to find a way to the next objective. You see a latter and believe that must be the course you take but instead it takes you no where. This can be incredibly annoying at times.
Overall this game is decent, but does suffer from some major flaws which create a repetitive and boring gameplay. People who like stealth genre games will enjoy this title, however I would suggest Metal Gear Solid for those who are not as much familiar with this kind of game style.

Splinter Cell is one of those games that simply becomes an instant classic. However it's also one of those games that only suits one type of gamer. The game requires patience and timeing and so, gives a real challenge unlike most games like it. SC is demanding yet possible with and extremely high level of realism and interaction.i like this game because of it is realistic. i love realistic games. but i am stuck and i really need help. i am in the second level where you have to record what the guys are saying in the glass elevator. lambert keeps chimeing in and i always fail the mission. i would appreciate it if you help me. let me tell you why i hate the . i hate it because you have to work slowly so that you wouldn't be seen/heard by the guards. it is really cool when you use cheats. if you help me, i will give cheats.
I would like you to send it to me on my email because i really want to finish this game. please remember that the splinter cell that i am talking about is stealth action redefined that is the first one.
don't mind my mistakes though because i am in a hurry looking for someone that would help me please still send what you know about the game and i promise to reply if i have an answer or not

Splinter Cell, real darn cool.The fact that you stalk in the shadows just to shoot people is heart pounding!The game uses sight,sound,and light just to give you the advantages!So what if it's a little bit hard. Anyone can get the hang of it,especially if you're trigger happy.The SC-20K shoots sticky cameras,distraction cameras,sticky shockers,and best of all,bullets.Shoot the lights out,stand two inches from someone,and blow their brains out.The levels are designed well,they've made Pandora Tomorrow.(Splinter Cell 2). things don't get any more real!However, it's a wonder how Sam hangs onto pipes so long without falling.The goggles come in handy too. night and thermal vision really helps in foggy and dark places.You can even download levels on the internet!Don't ask me where.It's no wonder it got a 9.6 on the cover of the case!Even has a near future setting, a navy seals prototype outfit with the time setting.Crouching,gadgets, and guns,just means that you have to save the United States before Nikoladze blows it up.No pressure, no pressure at all...

i got this game as my last choice at gamestop i thought it would be a bad game because it was cheap. but after i played the game i thought it was great it is really awsome that you can jump up on walls do split jumps and grab people and make them say all the crap you need to know. if you dont have this game i strongly suggest that you buy it immediatly so go to any store that sells this game. i also suggest that u should buy hitman 2 and hitman they are alike splinter cell you can pick locks in a faster way so go out and buy one of these games today a good game is a good game.also if you want some more action play metal gear solid the twin snakes. some other good games are oo7 games they are very interesting you can also use mines and claws to get from building to building.go to g a m e s t o p and g e t y o u r copy o f the greatest game i n t h e world! my favorite part about this game is the gadjets

im sitting here in my room and its about 5 am, i cant even keep my eyes open but for some reason i cant put down the xbox controller thats been in my hands since about 9 pm the night befor. this game is one of the best games of its kind. the sound, graphics, and game play are tight. guards can hear you if you walk to fast on certin floor coverings like hard wood floors, the watch dogs can pick up your scent, you can grab soldiers and hold a gun to his head and get info out of him befor you knock him over the head with your pistol. the lighting in this game is one of a kind and allows you check out the detail that went in to this title. one of the most awsome things about this game is that for most of the situations that you are in can be compleated in many diffrent ways, giving this title a real dynamic feel. this game is not for the run and gunners, if you do run and gun in this game you will end up with that red screen i try to stay away from(failed mission screen). most people wont think this game is fun but this title gose way past fun and compleatly ingulfs you in the world that is now known as SLINTER CELL! i recomend this game to the mature hardcore game lover!!!!! must.... have.....pandora.....AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

A week ago, i went to a friends house, just to borrow "Beyond Good And Evil". I took the cds, but when i finally got home, i realised that i borrowed "Splinter Cell" instead of "Beyond". Well, this game ROCKS! I'm an RPG fan, but when i started`playing Splinter, i forgot all my beloved RPGs on my bookself. The game has stunning action, and the reason i loved it, is that it's not a mindless shoot'em up but you have to think (sometimes hard) to go to the next "step". Yesterday my friend called me, asking back his cds. The answer was "No way! I'm playing Splinter right now!" Well, i can imagine his dissapointment when he realised that the game was missing from his desk... That was a beautiful mistake, and i discovered that i really like action games if they have the quality of Splinter. THIS IS A MUST BUY! AND DONT TRY TO USE CHEAT CODES OR TRAINERS OR ANYTHING ELSE, CAUSE YOU'LL LOSE ALL THE MAGIC! SQUEEZE YOUR BRAIN AND ACT WISELY. I still prefer RPGs, but when it comes to action/strategy games this is the one i would consider the best of it's kind.

to everyone...this game is so bad, i got a warning at work for being late. cant sleep with this game. this game is very addictive and i think they should ban it. best addictive game ever. I cant think of any other game that would compare to this right now. if you are talking about rpg with strategy and you have to use your brain and find out what you need to do...this is the game for you. do not use any books or cheats though, it will take away the fun of it. fun of it is when you cant find out what you have to do coz all you think about is how to finish that level. TIP: be very patient and think of something you can do and not what would you do. I thought when metal Gear Solid came out..it was really good, then the 2nd one came out and its the best one again. then this came out..best one again...then others came out....still SPLINTER CELL....then other came out.....still SPLINTER CELL....you know i could pass to be an advertiser for UBISOFT. Maybe they can give me a job there. to tryout splinter cell games. or even all tom clancy games. i promise i wont be late. GREAT GAME!!!

The only faults I can find with it are; The typical story line which is found in most games like SC, and The fact that the audience to whom the game is directed is fairly small compared to other classics such as Halo and Dead or Alive 3, which probably 99% enjoyed. Its graphics and gameplay are unique and in its league SC is lightyears ahead of the rest.

u guys out there who gave splinter cell such horrible comments are not being fair. If u were the type of player who just want to shoot mindlessly, than SC is not your type of game. SC requires patience and timing is another issue when u want to grap ur enemies from behind. SC is one game that will test ur patience and endurance, not many games offer that. To conclude, I highly recommend this game, it is just too good n addictive! Oh yes, I been losing sleep lately, all thanks to Ubisoft....... ;-)

This game is good, it has sick graphics and game play if you want a very hot game I recomend that you should buy SPLINTER CELL.Alot of my friends have Splinter Cell because it is hot, and now we all work together and come over each other house and beat missions.

I have just gotten an X-BOX and splinter cell came with it. So I put it in and started playing. I was playing for more than two hours because it's so addicting. The graphics were great, the play was awesome and I like it even more because it is not the run-of-the-mill every covert-op game. You actually do more than just running around killing people and stealing things, this has got a lot more depth.

Splinter Cell has to be one of the best games ever to be made. From the minute you start playing you are plunged into a game full of puzzles, twist and turns. The reason I like this game is because you have to use your wit and patience if your ever to complete the game. The way you shoot your enemies and interact with them is second to none. It is so adictive and like I said by far one of the best games ever made.

The game is superb. I mean. shadow effects, smoke effects, the way the enemy can interact, and the music - fantastic. I recommend that if you've never played this game, that you get your consol plugged into a Surround Sound system and wack up the bass. Turn of the lights, get some food 'cos this is gonna be a long, addictive ride. Hell, it was Splinter Cell which made me go and buy an Xbox. Why ever buddha from Melborne gave such a poor review is hard to understand. As far as a messy "shot 'em up" is concerned this is definatly not it. Unlike many games from the past, this one relies on Stelth. In fact, some levels restrict the use of guns - kill any of the enemy and you're out. Give it a go. The game really is awesome. Come on No.II and well done UBI!

I loved this game!
the graphics were slick, the controls were tight and the camera angles were ok. But I have one problem, there is no hand to hand combat mode. If a guard is being to observant as I sneak up behind him, I have no time to press R (GCN) I wished there was a knife or a fist you could just punch him in the face. I mean come on, Fisher being the kind of guy he is, wouldn't he just get one course in Hand to hand combat? seriously thought, great game one of the best almost as good as hitman II, at least in hitman you have the option of breaking down the door with a assult rifle and blasting everyone to hell, not in spinter cell....meh who cares, bring on Pandora!
